ARAPAHOE -- Margaret E. Schutz, 90, died Sunday (Oct. 25, 2009), at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.
She was born March 30, 1919, at Eustis, to Clarence and Amelia (Rieker) Wagner. She was baptized on June 22, 1919, and confirmed on March 25, 1934, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eustis. She graduated from high school at Eustis High School in 1937. After school she worked at Russell Stover Candy Factory in Denver, Colo., and Douglas Aircraft in Chicago, Ill.
On Oct. 19, 1947, she married Bernard Herman Henry Schutz at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eustis. They made their home on a farm near Orafino, Neb.
In 1954 they moved to a farm west of Arapahoe. At that time they became members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe. She moved into the CA Muse Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe in July 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; brother, Earl Wagner; and brother-in-law, Gilbert Leising.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Agnes Leising of Arapahoe; and a brother-in-law, Wilfred and wife, Judy Schutz of Lincoln.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, with Vicar James Moshier officiating. Burial will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery in Arapahoe.
Viewing and visitation is Tuesday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe.
