Bellamy, Haag wedding

Joseph and Klarissa Haag
GRAND ISLAND -- Klarissa Rae Bellamy and Joseph Christopher Haag of Kearney were united in marriage on Feb. 21, 2009, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Grand Island with the Rev. Todd Philipsen and Deacon Chuck Cantrell officiating.

Parents of the couple are John and Bonnie Bellamy of Cairo and Steve and Shari Haag of McCook.

Ashley Bellamy and Kaelie Bellamy, sisters of the bride were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristyna Engdahl of Omaha, Motika Laubner of Kearney, Nikki Kluthe of Cairo, Shannon Cheney of Kearney and Katie McLaughlin of Kearney.

Adam and John Haag, brothers of the bridegroom of McCook were the best men. Bridegroomsmen were Jeff Bellamy of Lincoln, brother of the bride, Jarrod Schmoker of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom, Jared Schack of Kearney, Tyler Hayes of Kearney and Nick Broshears of Lincoln.

Sara Peterson, Aubrey Rogers and Rebecca Peterson, all of McCook, nieces of the bridegroom were the flower girls and Gabriella Rogers, of McCook, niece of the bridegroom, was the miniature bride. The junior bridesmaid was Amber Lewandowski of Grand Island and Isaac Larson of McCook was the junior bridegroomsman.

Andrew Peterson, of McCook, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer. Candlighters were Caitlin and Courtney Leitner, of McCook, cousins of the bridegroom.

Myrna Sullivan and Cyndi Pyper of Grand Island provided the music. Ushers were Nate Reicks of Kearney, Chris King of Kearney, Cody Splattstoesser of Kearney and Brock Rogers and Aaron Peterson, brothers-in-law of the bridegroom, both of McCook.

A reception followed at Jubilee Center at Blessed Sacrament Church. Guestbook attendants were Jessica Ashley and Katie Nelson, cousins of the bride.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Grand Island Central Catholic, 2008 graduate of University of Nebraska Kearney with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and public relations with a minor in marketing and business management. She is employed with New West Sports Medicine as a patient service representative in Kearney.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of McCook Senior High and is pursuing a degree in marketing and business management from UNK. He is a member of the Army National Guard (2001) and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom One and Operation Enduring Freedom (2003-04) and is currently serving his second deployment with the 1195th Transportation Company in Iraq.

The couple is residing in Kearney.
