Commissioners to review guidelines

Red Willow County commissioners will review and consider changes to income guidelines for county general and medical assistance during their weekly meeting Monday morning.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m., in the commissioners' room on the third floor of the courthouse in McCook.

At 9:30 a.m., commissioners will discuss updating income guidelines for consideration of general (rent, utilities) and medical assistance from the county. The guidelines used now are from 1986.

Other agenda items are:

* With roads supervisor Gary Dicenta, discussion of county highway superintendent and engineering services, and resolutions designating a "responsible charge person" for the McCook West and McCook North federal-aid road projects.

* With Myra Stoney, director of Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department, discussion of an interlocal agreement for the governance and operation of the health department.

* During a board of equalization meeting at 9:15 a.m., with County Treasurer Marleen Garcia, tax roll corrections. Also, levying of necessary taxes for 2009 and certification of all levies.

Reports will include an update on CDBG revolving loan program accounts.
