BARTLEY -- Bryan Dennis Solberg Sr., 43, died Saturday (Sept. 19, 2009) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born in Glendale, Calif., on Dec. 10, 1965, to Arnold and Janet (Berard) Solberg. At the age of four months, Bryan and his brother, Arnie age 14 months, were adopted and raised by his grandparents, Raye and Helen Solberg. He graduated from Alta Loma High School in 1984. He then went to the Phoenix Institute of Technology where he was certified as an auto mechanic.

On Dec. 10, 1990, he married Dawn Leveque. The couple made their home in California before moving to Bartley. He was worked at Besler Industries, in the oilfield and most recently for the village of Bartley as village superintendent.

He was a member of the Bartley Fire Department, the Bartley Village Board and a volunteer for anything needed done around town.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold; parents/grandparents, Raye and Helen Solberg; great-niece Sierra Ray; and maternal grand parents, Connie and Robert Berard.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn of Bartley; two sons, Joshua Bryan of California and Bryan Dennis Solberg, Jr. at home; three daughters, Anna Marie, Helen Renee and Taylor Denise Solberg, all at home; two step-children, Angela Smith of Davison, Mich., and Matthew Smith of Otisville, Mich.; onebrother, Arnie Solberg of Bartley; three sisters, Sharon and husband, Don Hayhurst of Bartley, Amanda Kettman of San Bernadino, Calif., and Melinda and husband, Justin Touvell of Corning, Calif.; mother; Janet and husband, Anthony Woodward of Casper, Wyo.; and two step-grandchildren.,

A celebration of life will be Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Southwest High School Gym in Bartley at 4 p.m., with inurnment in the Bartley Cemetery. Scott Mustion will officiate the celebration.

Friends may sign the book at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. or at the services.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Brian's name.
