OMAHA -- Kathryn Ann Riddle, 62, of Omaha, died Thursday (Aug. 20, 2009) in rural Saunders County as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born May 23, 1947 in McCook to Lloyd and Sadie (Flanagin) Riddle. She attended Red Willow County rural school District 21 and graduated from high school at UNSA, Curtis in 1965. She graduated from the University of Nebraska -- Lincoln in 1969, with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She pursued a Masters Degree in 1969 and 1970 in Human Development and the Family. She received Omicron Nu Scholastic Honorary in 1971.
She retired in 1998 from a 25-year career with Abbott Laboratories at Waukegan, Ill., and returned home to help care for her mother. She moved to Omaha in June of 2004. She began working at Cornerstone Progressive Health in November of 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd K. and Sadie A. Riddle.
Survivors include her brother, Kenneth of Bartley, sister, Phyllis of Omaha and one niece.
Memorial services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. A private family inurnment will be in the Bartley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established in her name.
