SCOTT CITY, Kan. -- Erma A. Hoeme, 91, died Sunday (Aug. 23, 2009) at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.

She was born April 20, 1918, in Red Willow County to Henry and Dorothea (Wall) Hofman.

On Sept. 20, 1942, she married Robert W. Hoeme Sr. in McCook. He died July 19, 1998, in Garden City, Kan. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Scott County since 1942, after moving from McCook.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and a local arts club both of Scott City and The Kansas Arts Council.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson and 15 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her two sons, Allan and Anita Hoeme of Scott City and Robert Jr. and wife, Patti Hoeme of Scott City; one daughter, Karen and husband, James Black of Centennial, Colo.; one sister, Dorothy Malone of McCook; one grandson; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City with the Rev. Warren Prochnow officiating. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery at Scott City.

Visitation will be today until 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
