Bennett, Whetton engagement

Nakisha Bennett of McCook and Christopher Whetton of Lakeland, Fla., announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Tom Bennett of McCook, Terri Woodruff-Smith of Lakeland, Fla., and Danny Whetton and Susan Talit of Lakeland.

Grandparents of the bride are Patty and Harold Bennett of McCook and Nina Woodruff of Gibson, Ariz.

A Sept. 25, 2009, ceremony is planned in Lakeland at Hollis Gardens.
