Hidy, Vest engagement

Christina Hidy and Dustin Vest of Virginia Beach, Va., announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Barbara Hidy of Trenton, Bill Hidy of Elkart, Kan., Cathye Austin of Asheville, N.C., and Pat Vest of Meade, Kan.

The bride-to-be is a native of Trenton and is employed by Stanley Associates, Inc. in Norfolk, Va. The prospective bridegroom is a native of Meade and is serving in the United States Navy.

The couple plans an Aug. 22, 2009, wedding at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Virginia Beach.
