Lori Bortner of McCook and Patrick Harding of Cambridge announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Robert and Barbara Bortner of rural McCook. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Don and Aneta Harding of rural Cambridge.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Charles and Lois Quigley of McCook and Gene Bortner of rural McCook and is the great-granddaughter of Dorothy Bortner of McCook. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Ruth Harding of Cambridge.

Bortner is a 2000 graduate of McCook High School and holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in interdisciplinary studies from Chadron State College. She is a former Executive Director of NEBRASKAland DAYS and is currently the Specialty Clinic Manager and works in business development at Tri Valley Health System in Cambridge.

Harding is a 1998 graduate of Cambridge High School and holds an Associates Degree in agronomy from Colby Community College as well as a certification in diesel mechanics from Northwest Kansas Technical College. He is a Pioneer Brand Seeds sales representative and manages Harding Farms north of Cambridge.

A wedding is planned for Aug. 15, 2009, at St. Ann's Catholic Church north of McCook
