Malleck was a lifetime Red Willow County farmer who died in April 2008.
The site is approximately four miles south of Indianola and the road will be marked. In addition to threshing wheat the group will demonstrate a rare horse/mule drawn header complete with header barge, horse/mule drawn grain binder, a horse powered grain elevator and two early model pull type combines. At least six teams of draft horses and mules are scheduled to participate as well as early model tractors including three 1920s era Remley Oils and several 1930s and '40s John Deeres will also help get the work done. Activities will begin late morning and lunch will be available.
Threshing will start at 1 p.m. The event is being co-sponsored by Red Willow Chemical, Red Willow Aviation and Janssen-Kool Honda. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission charge.
