MNB Seniors stay alive at B6 tourney

The McCook National Bank Seniors stayed alive at the B6 Area District Senior baseball tournament with an 11-8 win over Cozad in an elimination game Thursday night.

The B6 Area tournament is being played at Jaycee Sports Complex in McCook.

In the semifinals Thursday, Kearney County defeated Holdrege 6-4 and Lexington defeated Broken Bow 4-1.

In today's games, Hershland will play Broken Bow at 2:30 p.m., McCook plays Holdrege at 5 p.m. and Lexington plays Kearney County at 7:30 p.m.

The MNB Seniors, seeded sixth, lost to third-seed Broken Bow 10-1 Wednesday in the first round.

In other first round games Wednesday, No. 5 Kearney County defeated No. 4 Hershland 9-7 and No. 2 Lexington defeated No. 7 Cozad 11-3.
