Lonny Lynn Orchestra performs here Saturday

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Enjoy the Summer Swing on Saturday when the Lonny Lynn Orchestra performs at the Republican River Valley Event Center, urges Steve Clark, Manager of the Event Center.

"We had a great turnout for the Governor's Ball that featured the Lonny Lynn Orchestra and have been working hard to bring them back for another dance in McCook," stated Clark.

At the Summer Swing, you have a choice of two tickets. Dinner & Dance for $30 or Dance only for $10. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and features a choice of entrees. The Lonny Lynn Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. and features an outstanding orchestra and vocalists. A portion of each ticket will be donated to scholarship youth for the Leadership Institute program. Assisting with the event is the Hometown Competitiveness Charitable Giving Group, which meets monthly to coordinate events, educate volunteers and promote community giving.

The Leadership Institute successfully included high school youth in their program two years ago. Funds from this event will be designated for youth tuition in this nine month leadership building experience. Recent Leadership youth graduates include: Amy Been, Amy Lester, Cory Gaston, Hank Lichtenwaldt, Matt Carriker, Stephen Smock, Austin Larson, Heather Bieker, Mary Spilinek, and Brooke Burton.

Tickets are available at the Republican River Valley Event Center, McCook Area Chamber of Commerce, or HTC committee members at the McCook College Foundation, Ed Thomas YMCA, Community Hospital Health Foundation, Fox Theatre, McCook Community Foundation, George W. Norris Foundation or Hillcrest Nursing Home Foundation. For more information contact Steve Clark, Republican River Valley Event Center at (308) 345-2948.
