Marion bridge on county agenda

Red Willow County commissioners will discuss options to re-open a bridge near Marion during their regular meeting scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., Monday, on the third floor of the courthouse in McCook.

The bridge was to be closed until repairs to two beams could be made.

In other action:

* The board will discuss with County Attorney Paul Wood and Rex Nelson, the administrator of the county's Regional Economic Development Fund Program, procedures and responsibilities regarding the revolving loan fund program. Officials will also sign a program income report for the loan program.

* Commissioners will conduct a budget workshop at 9:15 a.m. and a budget hearing for the fair board at 11:15 a.m.

* Commissioners will approve an indemnification agreement with the City of McCook for the use of city-owned bleachers, picnic tables and a water truck for the county fair.

* Commissioners will discuss with roads superintendent Gary Dicenta the Nebraska Local Public Agencies' policies and procedures for federal-aid transportation projects.

At 1 p.m., commissioners will conduct property valuation protest hearings with County Assessor Sandra Kotschwar.
