KIMBALL -- Tammy (Holeman) Mohr, 45, of Kimball, died at her home near Dix on July 7, 2009.

Memorial services were today, July 10, 2009, at Harry McNees Auditorium in the Kimball County High School with Pastor Scott Bailey officiating. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation.

Memorials have been established to the KEA Scholarship fund.

Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Tammy Sue Mohr was born in Broken Bow on March 20, 1964, the daughter of Donnell and June (Leach) Holeman. She was raised on a ranch and attended school in Arcadia. She graduated from Kearney State College in 1986 and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics.

Tammy was married to Gene Mohr on June 26, 1987, in Stratton. She worked in construction with her husband on the east coast. In 1989, the couple moved to Sutherland, she returned to school and received her Medical Lab Technician Degree and then began working at the Grant Hospital. In 1995, the family moved to Stratton and she began teaching at Wheatland and then Culbertson. They moved to Kimball in 2005.

Tammy loved spending time with her two boys, Justin and Jaden; she also liked working with her horses and was active in physical fitness. Tammy loved teaching and working with the students.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Mohr of Dix; her boys Justin and Jaden Mohr at home in Dix; parents, Donnell and June Holeman of Arcadia; mother-in-law Marion Mohr of Arnold; brother, Donnell (Lacy) Holeman of Carpenter, Wyo.; sister, Teresa (Steve) McCormick of Lewellen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her grandparents and father-in-law, John Mohr preceded her in death.
