Henry Stuehm Wasson

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Henry Stuehm Wasson, 80, a former resident of Culbertson, died June 27, 2009, at his home in San Diego, Calif.

He was born in Hildreth Jan. 22, 1929, and graduated from Beaver City High School in 1946. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska and his Masters degree from the University of Colorado. He was a Physics and Math Instructor at Imperial Valley College from 1962 until his retirement in 1994.

On Aug. 23. 1950, he married Margaret Schmitt in McCook. They moved to California in 1961 and resided in El Centro before relocating to San Diego three years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Esther Wasson of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Cal Mandel of San Diego; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Lloyd Anderson of Minden; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Daisy Wasson of Yuma, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
