Erma Sophia (Fleischacker) McDougal

ATWOOD -- Erma Sophia (Fleischacker) McDougal, 91, died Saturday (June 27, 2009), at the Rawlins County Health Center in Atwood.

She was born May 12, 1918, to John and Sophia (Goltl) Fleischacker.

On Aug. 10, 1938, she married G. Kenneth McDougal at Oberlin. They farmed northeast of Ludell until moving to Atwood in 1986. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Survivors include a son, James McDougal of Atwood; daughters, Joyce and husband, Dennis Sis of Ogallala, Joan McDougal of Phoenix, Ariz., Janice and husband, Fred Pianalto of Carlton, Minn., and Jeri and husband, Eldon Pickett of Lawrence, Kan.; sisters, Lorraine Baxter of Denver, Colo., and Loretta Arnold of Sammamish, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atwood with the Rev. Tim Llewellyn officiating. Interment will be at Atwood Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, 5-9 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood.

Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour.
