MTBA tourney takes place Saturday

The McCook Travel Baseball Association announced the brackets for its 2009 baseball tournament Saturday at the Jaycee Complex and Felling Field with 14 teams coming from Nebraska and Kansas to participate.

The opening games start at 10 a.m. at Felling Field and the Jaycee Complex. Four local teams are participating in the tournament from McCook.

The MTBA was organized five years ago to help support the traveling baseball teams of McCook.

MTBA provides for consistent support to those coaches needing assistance.

Proceeds from the tournament will support travel baseball efforts in McCook.
