LINCOLN -- Bette L. Liesemeyer, 78, Lincoln, passed away Sunday May 31, 2009, in Lincoln.

Born in Unadilla on June 22, 1930, to Famous and Carrie Rodger, she was a 1947 graduate of Syracuse High School.

She married Wayne W. Liesemeyer, on April 15, 1957. She was a mother to five children. The family lived in Lincoln, Scottsbluff and McCook.

Bette will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit and willingness to help others. She bravely battled many medical challenges over the last 10 years without complaint or loss of her sense of humor. She will missed by all who knew her kind spirit.

She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family in the western U.S.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Famous and Carrie Rodger and brother, Merle Rodgers.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; sister and brother-in-law, Alta and Ed Dakolios of Billings, Mont.; sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Sally Liesemeyer of Kailua, Hawaii; Kent and Carla Liesemeyer of Tucson, Ark.; son, Scott Liesemeyer of Aiea, Hawaii; daughter and son-in-law. Lori and Craig Jumps of Culbertson; daughter, Tracy Liesemeyer of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren, Lincoln Liesemeyer, Katie, Zach, Valerie, Amy, Josh, Emily and Veronica Liesemeyer and Sydney, Lucas and Delaney Jumps.

Memorial Services will be at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to the People's City Mission, 110 Q Street, Lincoln, NE 68501-0636 or Eastridge Presbyterian Church.
