Wilma Jane Hayden, died Saturday (May 16, 2009) at her residence northeast of McCook, at the age of 62.
She was born July 16, 1946, at McCook, the daughter of the late James Patrick and Mildred Laurabelle (Carfield) Norton. She grew up in McCook where she received her education.
Wilma had three children. On Aug. 29, 1991, Wilma married Albert Hayden and they made their home in McCook where she worked part-time at Fuller's Family restaurant for several years. Wilma and Albert enjoyed fishing, glass etching and playing card games with friends and going to play bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert on March 21, 2005; her father, James in 1972 and mother, Mildred L. Carfield in 1995.
Wilma is survived by her children, Benny Foster and wife, Shelly of McCook, Billy Patras and wife, Barb of McCook and her daughter, Tammy Wells and husband, Hap of Bayard; nine grandchildren, Krystal Foster, Justin and Emily Patras, Jessika, Dakota and Matthew McBride, Cord and Blaze Xavier; two sisters, Alice Norman and husband, Dion of Indianola and Charollette Matson of McCook; nephews, Max Matson, Raymond Matson and wife, Karen, Tim Matson and wife, Lisa; niece Laura Gidcumb and husband, Alan; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Emmanuel Reinhold officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Bluffs Cemetery at Cedar Bluffs.
Memorials may be given in her name and visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
