Parents of the couple are Brad and Elaine Marcuson of Oberlin and Doug and Cappi Nelson of Topeka.
Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Gail and Kay Marcuson of Oberlin, the late Ira and Joyce Redenbaugh and the late Margerate Redenbaugh all of Gardner, Kan.
The prospective bridegroom's grandparents are Richard and Mary Ellen Nelson of Salina, Kan., the Honorable Richard and Cindy Rogers of Topeka and the late Elizabeth Rogers.
The bride-to-be graduated from Decatur Community High School in 2001 and received her Bachelors of Arts in history and secondary education at Washburn University in 2006. She is working on a Masters in Education in adaptive special education at the University of Kansas. She is employed as a Special Education teacher at Capital City School in Topeka.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 Topeka West High School graduate and received his Bachelors of Arts in history and secondary education at Washburn University in 2005 and Masters in Arts of Education at Baker University in 2008. He is employed as a History teacher at Topeka High School in Topeka.
A June 6, 2009, ceremony is planned in Topeka.
