BEAVER CITY -- Vora Perkins Thompson, 86, died Monday (May 4, 2009), at Beaver City Manor in Beaver City.
She was born July 22, 1922, at Preston, Idaho, to Pattison and Cloie (Perkins) Griffeth.
She grew up in Preston and graduated from Preston High School in 1940. She was married several times and divorced. She lived in a number of places including Idaho, Illinois, Utah and California before moving to Beaver City in 1984. She moved to Beaver City Manor and Assisted Living on June 17, 2008.
She was a member of Latter Day Saints Church in Lexington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sister; and special friend, Joe Kellogg, in 2003.
Survivors include her son, Richard West of Beaver City; four daughters, Linda Albert of Portland, Ore., Faye Bates of Paris, Texas, Diane Dunn of Santaquin, Utah, and Susan West of Portland; a brother, Kwen Griffeth of Preston; a sister, Yula Osgood of Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
