Jackson, Manker engagement

Emily Jackson, formerly of Maryville, Mo., and Chris Manker, formerly of Wauneta, now of Gardner, Kan., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Beth and Jim Zech of Maryville, Mo., and the late Rodney Jackson, Karen and Lee Denker of Wauneta and Jim Manker of Indianola.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Mo., with a Bachelor of Science degree in interactive digital media and a 2008 graduate of Avila University, Kansas City, Mo., with a teaching certificate in secondary English. She is employed as a substitute teacher in Gardner.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of DeVry University, Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems. He is employed with Integrated Healthcare Strategies in Kansas City as a web designer.

A June 6, 2009, ceremony is planned at Mildale Farm in Edgerton, Kan.
