CAMBRIDGE -- Jack Macy, 79, died Saturday (April 4, 2009) at Cambridge Manor.
He was born June 30, 1929, in Wheatridge, Colo., to Dick and Goldie (Sanson) Macy. He grew up in Cedar Bluffs and attended school in Cedar Bluffs and Oberlin, graduating from Decatur Community High School in 1947.
He entered the U.S. Army Air Force. After his service he returned to Cedar Bluffs and Lebanon area where he was a farmer. On Dec. 18, 1949, he married Glema Gay in Atwood.
He was a member of the Lebanon American Legion and Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Goldie Macy.
Survivors include his wife, Glema of Lebanon; sons, Greg and wife, Beth Macy of Lebanon; brother, Charles and wife, Ila Mae Macy of Alta Vista, Kan.; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with Terry McCorkle officiating. Interment will be in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Visitation will be today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m., until time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Beaver Valley Rural Fire Department.
