Laird, Kunnemann wedding

NORTH PLATE -- Kimberly Laird of Hayes Center and Seth Kunnemann of Imperial, were united in marriage on Dec. 27, 2008, at Berean Church in North Platte with the Rev. John Engbrecht officiating.

Parents of the couple are Scott and Patty Laird of Hayes Center and Dennis and ZoAnne Kunnemann of Imperial.

Grandparents of the bride are the late Clayton and Faye Laird. The bridegroom's grandparents are Dr. J.R. and Phyllis Finkner of Minden and the late Arnold and Irene Kunnemann.

Kayla Laird, sister of the bride, of Omaha was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Hamill of Omaha, Julie Wiekamp of Lincoln and Lindsey Novak of Neligh.

Sam Kunnemann, brother of the bridegroom, of Imperial, served as bestman. Bridegroomsmen were Brian Hansen of Fort Collins, Colo., Luke Knowles of Fort Collins and Tim Rowley of Laredo, Texas.

Abby Bubak, niece of the bridegroom, of Volga, S.D., was the flowergirl and Austin Bubak, nephew of the bridegroom, of Volga was the ring bearer. Candlelighters were Bailee and Logan Blackney, cousins of the bride, of Lakewood, Colo.

Ushers were Jay Bubak, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Volga, John Finkner, cousin of the bridegroom, of Lincoln, Spud Mann, cousin of the bridegroom, of Lincoln, and Bart McCoy, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Omaha.

Kayla Laird, sister of the bride, of Omaha was the soloist.

A reception was at the Holiday Inn Express in North Platte. Courtney Kunnemann, sister of the bridegroom was the guestbook attendant. Host couples were Sarah Mann of Lincoln, Sylvia Kunnemann of Colorado Springs, Janet and Jerry Rucker of Golden, Colo., and Rita and Don Steinke of Ft. Collins, Colo.

The bride earned her Bachelor of Science in business from Nebraska Wesleyan University at Lincoln. She plans to return to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in the fall of 2009.

The bridegroom received his Bachelor of Science in business from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ariz., and his MBA from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is employed as the office manager at AK Acres Popcorn Company in Imperial.

After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico they are making their home in Imperial.
