BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Robert S "Bob" Felton, 93, Beaverton, Ore, died on Monday, March 23, 2009.

Bob was born on July 29, 1915, in Burns Wyo., to Harry and Melissa (Smith) Felton. He graduated from Cheyenne, Wyo., High School.

He entered the U.S. Army from June of 1945 until May of 1946, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of World War II, where he was stationed in Alaska.

June 1940, he married Helen Louise Black. Bob started his career with the J.C. Penney Company in Cheyenne, Wyo., and went on to manage stores in Lander, Wyo., McCook and Bozeman, Mont., where he retired in 1975.

He was a member of the Bozeman United Methodist Church and also a member of the Bozeman Elks Lodge.

Hobbies included fishing and pheasant hunting. Fishing was his greatest love; he chased the wily trout for 25 years during his retirement. He and Helen also enjoyed socializing with their many wonderful friends in Bozeman.

Bob is survived by his sister, Helen Callen of Ottuma, Iowa; Lloyd " Buzz" Felton, brother, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; children, John Felton and wife, Patricia of Fargo, N.D., Edward Felton of University Place, Wash., Anita and husband, Ron Perez of Oceanside, Ore.; grandchildren, Michael Felton of Richland, Wash., Michele Hurley of Bellingham,Wash., Melissa Ladenburg of Bainbridge Island, Wash., Stephanie Meese of Portland, Ore.; and great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kaitlyn and Jacquelyn Hurley.

Interment and memorial services will be in Bozeman, Mont., in May to be announced later.
