The Cambridge girls basketball team limited Sutherland to 5 first half points to advance to the C2-11 sub-district finals against North Platte St. Pat's Thursday at the McCook High School gymnasium.

The Trojans ripped the Sailors 49-24.

Traci Keyser led the Trojans with 22 points.

"The girls played with great intensity on defense in the first half," said coach Josh Graves.

"This intensity led to some easy fastbreak points off steals. We also were able to force the ball inside in our half court offense and get some early buckets down low."

"I really felt that all the girls played with great effort and I look forward to seeing the same great effort on Thursday."

Cambridge senior Bailey Soucie said "our goal for sub-district and districts is for one possession at a time and to have no regrets after the game."

The 20-0 Cambridge girls will face North Platte St. Pat's (12-8) Thursday in the Class C2-11 sub-district final game in McCook.
