BEAVER CITY -- Bill Grilli, 61, died Friday (Feb. 13, 2009) at his home in Beaver City.
He was born Feb. 23, 1947, at Louisville, Colo., to Luigi and Mary (Anselma) Grilli. He grew up in Louisville and attended Louisville Schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from July 26, 1966 until July 25, 1968.
On Oct. 11, 1968, he married Barbara Harris in Louisville. He was a house painter for 42 years in Colorado. They moved to Beaver City on Sept. 3, 2000 and lived there until the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ida May in 1955 and nephew, Mark Grilli in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Barb of Beaver City; sons, Wade and wife, Katie of Sterling, Colo., and Clay and wife, Janie of Beaver City; daughter, Wendy and husband, Larry Rogers of Grand Island; brothers, Ralph Grilli and wife, Carol of Sterling, Louis Grilli and wife, Jayne of Fredrick, Colo., Tony Grilli and wife, Vivian of Golden, Colo.; sisters, Blanche and husband, John Kanalis of Flower Mound, Texas and Anna Grilli and friend, Bob Durna of Arapahoe; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 1:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver City with the Revs. Ivan and Joyce Dean and Keith Theobald officiating. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City.
