LINCOLN -- Sara Vontz and Sean Pierce of Lincoln, were united in marriage Sept. 27, 2008, at Country Pines in Lincoln with Judge Hohn Hoffert officiating.

Parents of the couple are Terry Vontz of McCook, Pamela Corey of Houston, Texas, Deb and Steve Miller of Callaway and Steve and Alice Pierce of Omaha.

The bride's grandparents are the late Leonard and the late Esther Vontz and the late Lorene Stroud. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Junior and Wilda Diefenbaugh, the late Hazen Pierce and Jayne Pierce of Callaway.

Candy Hoffman, sister of the bride, of Hastings, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Brenning, cousin of bride, of Lawrence, Kan.,

Amy Kehler, cousin of the bride, of McCook, Kim Gleason of McCook, Autumn Backhaus, cousin of the bride, of Lincoln and Christy Wells of Lincoln.

Trevor Pierce, brother of the bridegroom, of Longmont Colo., served as the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Ryan Streff of Greely, Colo., Andy Cole of Detroit, Mich., Seth Vontz, brother of bride, of Lincoln, Mike Pelster of Kearney and Josh Pierce of Kearney

Ally, daughter of the couple, and Emma Kehler, of McCook were the flower girls. Eli Kehler of McCook was the ring bearer.

Personal attendants were Shawn Manion of Lincoln and Heather Pierce, sister in law of the couple, of Longmont. Travis Theiler of Kearney and Cody Sasek of Omaha were the ushers.

A reception followed at Country Pines. Alex Brenning of Lawrence Kan., was the guestbook attendant.

The bride is an underwriting service assistant at State Farm. The bridegroom graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2004 with a business administration degree and is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is employed at Walmart as an assistant manager

The couple resides in Lincoln.
