OBERLIN -- David E. Koerperich, 54, died Saturday (Feb. 7, 2009) at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
He was born Sept. 24, 1954, in Oberlin to Eugene N. and Dolores M. (Reitcheck) Koerperich. He grew up in Oberlin and attended Oberlin Elementary School and Decatur Community High School, graduating in 1972.
He lived in Colby, Kan., and Oberlin, where he worked as a water well technician.
He was a member of Pheasants Forever and Kansas Ground Water Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Koerperich.
Survivors include his mother, Dolores Koerperich of Oberlin; son, Jacob Koerperich of Oberlin; daughters, Adrian and husband, Shawn Walker of Lincoln and Jessica Koerperich of Grand Junction, Colo.; brothers, Clem Koerperich of Oberlin, Dan and wife, Michele Koerperich of Salina, Kan., and John and wife, Angela Koerperich of Salina; sisters, Karen and husband, Jeff Ostmeyer of Salina, Linda and husband, Chris Floch of Asotin, Wash., and Donna and husband, Todd Reinert of Topeka, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Daniel Scheetz officiating. Inurnment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Vigil services are today at 7 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin.
Memorials may be given to the Jacob Koerperich Education fund, church or donor's choice.
