KEARNEY -- The University of Nebraska-Kearney baseball team will conduct youth hitting and pitching camps during the next seven weeks.

The camps are for ages 9-18 with the age groups being divided into three time slots; 4-5 p.m. (9-11 year olds), 5-6 p.m. (12-14) and 6-7 p.m. (15-18).

The UNK coaching staff and current Loper players will run both camps.

Each camp will be held in the new Memorial Field indoor facility.

Cost for the pitching camp, held on back-to-back Sundays (Jan. 25 and Feb. 1) is $50 per player and each age group will have one hour of work each day.

The hitting camp costs $45 per player and will take place on four consecutive Mondays starting Feb. 2.

Like the pitching camp, each age group will have one hour of work each day.

Each camp is limited to the first 16 individuals that sign up to each designated time slot.

Interested parties can e-mail UNK head coach Damon Day at daydd@unk.edu or assistant head coach Adam Neisius at neisiusaa@unk.edu with questions.
