ANSLEY -- Kimberly Sue (Hackenkamp) Hartman went to be with the Lord, Jan. 10, 2009.

She was born May 3, 1960, in McCook to Earnest and Ruth Ann (Kunkee) Hackenkamp.

Kim grew up in McCook. She was baptized on May 22, 1960, and confirmed on May 12, 1974, at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural McCook and was currently a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loup City, Neb. She graduated from McCook High School in 1978.

Kim was united in marriage to Allen Hartman on June 23, 1979, at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural McCook. They made their home in rural Ansley, and to this union they were blessed with three children, Jarrod Allen, Lindsey Dawn and Kelsie Marie.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Hackenkamp; nephew, Aaron Cherry; grandparents, Fred and Dora Kunkee and August Hackenkamp and Mamie Knosp.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Hartman of Ansley, son, Jarrod of Palmyra, Neb., and daughters, Lindsey of Kearney, Neb., and Kelsie of Lincoln, Neb.; mother, Ruth Ann Hackenkamp of McCook, brothers, Craig (Shelli) Hackenkamp of Stromsburg, Neb., Randy Hackenkamp of Ansley; sisters, Melanie (Pat) Cherry of McCook and Tamara (Jason) Venneman of Beatrice, Neb.; father and mother-in-law, Norman and Doris Hartman of Apache Junction, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Tom) Roberts of Ansley and Kay (Mel) Shermer of Taylor, Neb.; and many loving nieces, nephews and numerous family and friends.

Kim was passionate about Ansley Warrior athletics and all activities that her children participated in. The highlight of her summers were spending a week at the Custer County Fair watching her children garner numerous beef awards. She put her whole heart and time into scoring local golf tournaments, Ansley FFA Mothers, Ansley Booster Club and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Kim's life was centered around her family; always putting her children first and having a big heart.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m., in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loup City with the Rev. Shawn Kitzing officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery.

Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be this evening with the family greeting friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at Govier Bros. Mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the family.
