Eustis-Farnam girls down Medicine Valley

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

EUSTIS -- The Eustis-Farnam Knights girls basketball team hammered Medicine Valley 46-29 Monday.

Katie Fagot netted 21 points, had 7 assists and 6 steals for the Knights.

Jacey Schultheiss scored 12 points, had 9 rebounds and 3 steals.

"It wasn't the prettiest of games, but after a sluggish start, we finally got things going in the second quarter," said coach Brad Dunlap.

"Our press was effective and forced Medicine Valley into several turnovers, which created easy opportunities for us.

"We didn't shoot well from long range and had too many turnovers, but a lot of that could be attributed to our long layoff.

"We'll have to be sharper Thursday and Saturday against tough Fort Kearny Conference teams Amherst and Pleasanton."

Jordan Zysset led the Raiders with 12 points.
