Connie Jo Discoe/McCook Daily Gazette

Luke 2:1-14 tells the world about the birth of a baby born in a simple stable and placed in a manger -- a baby heralded by angels, welcomed by shepherds and kings, the Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord. Thirteen-year-old Kate Kelley, portrays Mary, and Blake Storrs, 14, plays the part of Joseph in the 16th annual living nativity service performed this evening, Christmas Eve, by the children's and adult choirs of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ash Creek, rural McCook. The service is open to everyone and is scheduled at 7 p.m., at the North Sale Barn, on North Highway 83, McCook.

  • We sure miss going to this service. I wish we could be there.
