ARAPAHOE -- Ramona A. Chambers, 80, of Cambridge, formerly of Arapahoe and Wilsonville, died Saturday (Nov. 29, 2008) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 7, 1928, on the family farm near Lyle, Kan., to Harry D. and Aril A. (Ankenman) Warner. She attended Lebanon High School and graduated with the class of 1946.

She married Clyde E. Chambers on Oct. 12, 1949, in Lebanon. They farmed for 52 years in the Wilsonville and Lyle area. They retired in 2000 and moved to Arapahoe. Her husband died Sept. 9, 2002. She entered the Cambridge Tri-Valley Assisted Living Facility in April of 2007.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and IHO Ladies club in Wilsonville, Royal Neighbors in Lebanon and served on the Wilsonville election board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde and brother, Dean Warner

Survivors include her sons, Craig Chambers of Omaha and Kent and wife, Deena Chambers of Wilsonville; brothers, Neal and wife, Frances Warner of Lebanon, Gail and wife, Laurie Warner of Holbrook and Dale and wife, Sharon Warner of Weleetka, Okla,; sisters, Virginia Schroder of Blair and Danny Lou and husband, Larry Blackman of Bartley; sister-in-law, Betty Warner of Cambridge; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m., at United Presbyterian Church in Lebanon with the Rev. Craig Christner of McCook officiating. Interment will be at the Lebanon Cemetery.

Viewing and visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and prior to the service at the church.
