LOOMIS -- Dorothy Jean (Hampton) Hanson, 45, died Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2008) at her home in Loomis.
She was born March 28, 1963, in Cambridge to Odean Sylvester Hampton Sr. and Connie Jean (Rauch) Hampton. She received her education at Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1982.
Following her education, she received training as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Nebraska and California, and was employed in homecare and nursing homes in Franklin, Ravenna and Kearney. In 2003, she moved to Loomis where she made her home until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Survivors include her three brothers, Lonnie Hampton and wife, Lesa of Arapahoe, Rockey Hampton and wife, Cari of Cambridge and Clayton Hampton Sr. and wife, Allyn of Holdrege; one sister, Bessie Luben of Cozad; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege with the Rev. Tom Thompson officiating. A private family inurnment will be in the Cambridge Cemetery.
