Bison 8th grade girls drop two to North Platte-St. Pat's
The McCook Junior High School eighth grade girls basketball A and B teams both lost to North Platte Thursday at the MJH gymnasium.
The Bison A team lost 41-18 and the B team lost 15-8.
Rachel Goltl led the Bison A team with 5 points, followed by Kassidy Gillen 4, Riley Allen 4, Megan Ruppert 2, Brooklyn Trew 2 and Madison Chitwood 1.
Shelby Allberry led North Platte-St. Pat's with 20 points. Mandy O'Malley added 7 and Ashten Hernandez 6.
Britteny Broomfield led the McCook B team with 4 points. Mariah Poore and Hollie Eiler added 2 each.
Sally Hengen led NPSP with 6 points.
"The McCook girls played aggressively but ended up on the short end to a very talented North Platte St Pats group," said McCook coach Steve Clapp.
"The basket seemed to have a lid on it as we took a lot of good shot attempts and made a only a small percentage of the shots, while North Platte shot at a blistering pace."
