Friday, November 7, 2008
McCOOK -- Three suspects were arraigned in Red Willow County Court Thursday in connection with the Oct. 30 break-in at the U.S. Post Office in Bartley.

Kacey L. Maret, Miranda Vanderpool and Jonathan W. Weems, age and addresses unknown, did not post 10 percent of their bonds and remain in custody at the Hitchcock County Jail in Trenton.

Maret and Vanderpool were both charged with two counts of burglary, Class III felonies, in connection with the Sept. 11 break-in at the Bartley Village Office and the Oct. 30 burglary at the Bartley Post Office. Maret's bond was set at $100,000 and Vanderpool's bond at $50,000.

Weems was charged only for the break-in at the Bartley Post Office with a Class III felony burglary. His bond was set for $50,000.

A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 18 at 4 p.m.
