Tuesday, November 4, 2008
Second- and third-graders at McCook Elementary practice their voting skills at a mock election this morning. After studying the election process, students were asked to cast their vote for the next president. Third graders overwhelming elected Republican candidate Sen. John McCain by 78 to Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama's 10 votes, while the race was closer for second graders: McCain came with 54 votes and Obama with 38.
