LINCOLN -- Erin Brown of Hayes Center and Brad Fries of Upland were united in marriage on Aug. 16, 2008, at Sunken Gardens in Lincoln with the Rev. Fay Ann Blaylock officiating.

Parents of the couple are Richard and Carol Brown of Hayes Center, Steve and Suzanne Fries of Upland and Perry and Brenda Miller of Rising City.

Grandparents of the bride are Rex and Twyla Steinbrink and Bill and Virginia Brown, both of Trenton. Vernon and Joan Fries of Upland and Bert Frink of David City are grandparents of the bridegroom.

Cathy Johnson of Lexington was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Poulsen of Dakota City and Susan Fries, sister-in-law of the bridegroom of Minden.

Chad Fries, brother of the bridegroom, of Minden served as best man. Bridegroomsmen were Scot Jorgensen of Minden and Brett Brown brother of the bride, of Lincoln.

Gracie Fries, niece of the bridegroom, of Minden, was the flowergirl and Gage Fries, nephew of the bridegroom, of Minden, was the ring bearer.

Vicki Harris of Lincoln played the keyboard and violin and Julie Ralston of Lincoln also played violin. Krissy Cole of Lincoln was the soloist.

A reception was at Country Inn and Suites in Lincoln. Amanda Miller, sister of the bridegroom, of Rising City was the guestbook attendant. Host couples were Diane Dailey, aunt of the bride, Marsha Fries, aunt of the bridegroom and Rhonda Ejlersen, aunt of the bridegroom.

The bride is attending Mary Lanning School of Radiologic Technology and will graduate with a comprehensive bachelor's degree in radiology. She is working as a radiology assistant at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Central Community College in Hastings with a degree in electrical technology. He is employed as an electrical contractor.

The couple will make their home in Lincoln.
