LINCOLN -- Helen Brown, 91, of Lincoln, died Thursday (Oct. 16, 2008), at Tabitha.
She was born July 17, 1917, near Wauneta, to Louis and Emma Blobaum.
On June 16, 1934, she married Clark Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Gibson and husband, Jerry of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Alison Walling and fiance, Randy White of Lincoln, Jim Gibson and wife, Jodi of Lincoln and Nickey Gleason and husband, Brian of Tumwater, Wash.; four great-grandchildren, Ian, Seth Halie and Lexi; a sister, Hazel Self of Denver, Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Blobaum of North Platte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark; their son, Russel Leroy whose plane disappeared while flying over Alaska on Oct. 16, 1972; two brothers, Clarence and George; a sister, Dorothy Benscoter; and sister-in-law, Roberta Blobaum.
Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Lincoln with Pastor Dan Safarik officiating. Following cremation, burial will take place in Palisade.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Lincoln; Palisade United Methodist Church; and Tabitha Hospice.
