GREELEY, Colo. -- Geraldine May (Housley) Holcomb, 85, of Greeley, Colo., formerly of Westminster, Colo., died Friday (Oct. 3, 2008) at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

She was born Feb. 24, 1923, in Freedom to Charles and Zella (Vandervort) Housley.

She was married Kenneth C. Holcomb on Oct. 16, 1939, in Atwood. They resided in Bartley and McCook in the early years where he was employed as a pilot delivering newspapers. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She managed an A&W Rootbeer Drive-In for many years. She was also an Avon Lady.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two daughters, Karen Neuman and Kristy Holcomb; two brothers, Darrell and Stanley Housley; and one sister, Mabel King.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki and husband, Herman Libsack of Greeley; two sisters, Sally and husband, Red Johnson of Idaho and Rosalie and husband, Willie Pinkerton of California; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A private family graveside service will be at a later date.
