Bison football C team falls to Lexington

Tuesday, October 7, 2008
LEXINGTON -- The McCook High School football C team lost to Lexington Thursday 34-22 at Lexington.

"The game was an offensive battle with neither team punting in the game," said Bison coach Bill Ramsay. "Defensively we really had a hard time containing their spread offense.

"They had big receivers and did a good job of protecting their quarterback. Offensively I thought we played pretty well, we scored on all of our drives but had two interceptions that hurt us. We did a good job of battling the entire game."

Matt Chitwood scored first for the Bison with a 17-yard run and ended the first half 16-8 behind Lexington.

Tyson Karr led the Bison in the third with a 65-yard kick of return and again in the fourth with a 2-yard run.

Chitwood also returned in the fourth with a 22-yard run

McCook hosts the North Platte Gold team at 5 p.m. Oct. 16 and finishes the season Oct. 20 at Chase County-Imperial.

Lexington 8 8 6 12 -- 34
McCook C 0 8 0 14 -- 22
