"The game was an offensive battle with neither team punting in the game," said Bison coach Bill Ramsay. "Defensively we really had a hard time containing their spread offense.
"They had big receivers and did a good job of protecting their quarterback. Offensively I thought we played pretty well, we scored on all of our drives but had two interceptions that hurt us. We did a good job of battling the entire game."
Matt Chitwood scored first for the Bison with a 17-yard run and ended the first half 16-8 behind Lexington.
Tyson Karr led the Bison in the third with a 65-yard kick of return and again in the fourth with a 2-yard run.
Chitwood also returned in the fourth with a 22-yard run
McCook hosts the North Platte Gold team at 5 p.m. Oct. 16 and finishes the season Oct. 20 at Chase County-Imperial.
