Lincoln man bound over on sexual assault charge

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

A Lincoln man charged with sexual assault of a minor was bound over to District Court from Red Willow County Count this week.

Josiah Frobish, 24, was originally charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor on June 24, when he was found in a local motel room with a 14-year-old McCook girl.

The girl's parents had contacted the police when they found her missing around midnight.

The parents later told law enforcement during the investigation that they were tracking activity on their home computer using special software. Their daughter and Frobish had been communicating prior to the incident and had planned to meet in McCook.

The girl had first met Frobish at a summer camp earlier in the year.

Probable cause was found in Red Willow County Court to charge Frobish with the sexual assault charge.

An arraignment date has not yet been scheduled in District Court.
