Martinez, Peterson wedding

Jennifer Nicole Martinez of McCook, formerly of North Platte and Stephen Nathaniel Peterson "Petie" of McCook were united in marriage Sept. 6, 2008 at the Republican River Valley Event Center in McCook. Red Willow County Clerk Magistrate Kathy Jones, presided over the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are the late Nancy Martinez and Ramon and stepmother Sherry Martinez of North Platte. Parents of the bridegroom are Larry and Joyce Peterson of McCook

Grandparents of the bride are Judy Allen of McCook, the late Sidney Allen and the late Martinez's. Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Henry and Louise Peterson.

The maid of honor was Wendy Kackmiester of North Platte. Bridesmaids were Breah Richmond of McCook, Sherri Sydow of Benkelman and Marie Sauvage of McCook.

Best man was Shawn Nelson of McCook. Bridegroomsmen were Tyler Woolwine of McCook. Blaine Peterson, brother of the bridegroom, of Omaha and Troy Reed, brother of the groom, of Kearney.

The flower girl was Halie Lynn Peterson, daughter of the bride and bridegroom, of McCook.

Those participating in the unity candle ceremony were Joyce Peterson, mother of the bridegroom, of McCook and Sherry Martinez, stepmother of the bride, of North Platte.

The song "Good Morning Beautiful" by Steve Holly was played while the bridal party and flower girl walked down the aisle. The bride was accompanied by her father as they walked down the aisle. Daniel Sauvage operated the CD player.

The bride graduated from North Platte High School and works at Community Hospital. The bridegroom graduated from McCook HIgh School and works at McDonalds.

The couple will reside in McCook.
