Mildred H. Troutwine died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Community Hospital in McCook. She was 87 years old.
Mildred was born Sept. 27, 1920, at Sellersburg, Ind., to Ernest and Pearl (Anson) Hostoller. After her graduation from high school she continued her education with two years of college.
She married Willard W. Troutwine on Dec. 7, 1945, in Sellersburg. They moved to the McCook community in 1950, where Mildred was a homemaker.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and PEO Chapter FA.
She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed getting together with her friends.
She moved to Willow Ridge Retirement Community on June 30, 1999, where she was living at the time of her death.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ernest and Pearl Hostoller; her husband, Willard Troutwine; and one sister.
Survivors include two nieces, Kathryne O'Toole of Fairfax, Va., and Karen Debly.
Memorials may be given in her name.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
There will be a Memorial Service at Willow Ridge Retirement Community on Friday, Sept.19, at 11 a.m.
