MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- Eldon "Babe" Paul Catt, 91, died Monday (Sept. 1, 2008) at Alterra Wynwood Assisted Living in McMinnville, Ore.

He was born Oct. 8, 1916, to Raymond and Mayr (Klepper) Catt in Wilsonville. He attended grade school in St. Francis.

On March 3, 1939, he married Wanda Awalt in St. Francis. He farmed for many years before moving to McMinnville in September of 1955.

He worked for Alderman Farms, Peavey Oil for 10 years,Valley Feed for seven years and retired from Co-op Creamery in 1969.

He was a member of B.P.O.E. No. 1283 since 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda in 1988; son, Ronald in 1999; six brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include his sons, Rex Catt of McMinnville and Kennis Catt of McMinnville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Chapel of Macy & Son in McMinnville with the Rev. Jim Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery at McMinnville.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon - 7 p.m. at the Chapel.

Memorials may be given to Legacy Hospice-McMinnville or charity of choice in care of Macy & Son.
