Schnackenberg, Lawless wedding

GOTHENBURG -- Tara Schnackenberg and Jason Lawless were united in marriage on June 28, 2008 at the American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg with the Rev. Matthew Groenke officiating.

Parents of the couple are Matt and Donna Schnackenberg of Gothenburg, Mike Lawless of McCook and Jeanne Janssen of Gothenburg.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Lila and Howard Runge of Culbertson and Bill and Martha Lawless of Palisade.

The bride, escorted to the alter by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a charming and romantic gown with a strapless neckline and an A-line silhouette. The dropped waistline featured a delicate satin waistband and bow with a beautiful lace overlay and chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, ivory roses and fragrant freesia.

Alisha Hanshaw, sister of the bride, of Manhattan Kan. and Donna Schnackenberg, mother of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Macy Finke, cousin of the bride, Erica Johnson, Jessica Lawless, sister of the bridegroom and Briana Brooks. Serving as a junior bridesmaid was Alayna Collins, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Courtney Maline.

The bridesmaids wore floor length black strapless gowns which featured a champagne colored sash at the waistline and they carried bouquets matching that of the bride.

Aaron Lawless, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Bridegroomsmen were John Blecha, Jeff Timm, Matt McFadden and Andrew Wilson, and Josh Kershaw, cousin of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was wearing an all-black tuxedo with an ivory rose. The bridegroomsmen were attired in black tuxedos with an ivory tie and ivory rose.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Ernie Blecha, Kaitlyn Clark and Katie Evans. Host couples were Glenn and Sue Finke, aunt and uncle of the bride and Tim & Tricia Maline.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Chipper Hall in Cozad which was served by several friends and family of the bride and bridegroom.

After a honeymoon to the Riviera Maya in Mexico, the couple is residing in Gothenburg where the bridegroom is employed by Tim Maline Farms and the bride is a nursing student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Kearney.
