Cartwright, Douglas engagement

Erica Cartwright of Grand Island and Daniel Douglas of Darlington, Ind., announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. Parents of the couple are Jim and Susie Cartwright of Grand Island, William Douglas of Darlington and Dick and Linda Redding of West Lafayette, Ind.

Grandmother of the bride-to-be is Rose Griffing of Culbertson.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Grand Island Senior High and a graduate of Central Community College in Grand Island and Southeast Community College of Lincoln. She is the co-manager at Victoria's Secret in Memphis, Tenn.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of North Montgomery High School in Crawfordsville, Ind., and a 2006 graduate of Purdue University of West Lafayette, Ind., with a degree in construction management. He is a construction manager with Signature Construction.

A Sept. 27, 2008, ceremony is planned at The Liederkranz in Grand Island.
