IMPERIAL -- Carla (Pflum) Pajerski, 50, died Thursday (July 31, 2008), at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born to James M. and Rose Marie (Kadavy) Pflum on Sept. 10, 1957, at Chase County Hospital and spent the first 17 years of her life at the family farm on the South Divide. She attended grade school in Enders and graduated from Chase High School in Imperial in 1975.

During her high school years she participated in track, basketball and softball.

In April of 1975, she married John Moreno They spent time on the farm on the South Divide. After her divorce in 1982, she moved to Imperial with her two children and began working at Chase County Hospital as a nurse's aide.

In October 1982, she began a career at Frenchman Valley Coop as petroleum clerk and inventory control specialist. She retired June 27, 2008, after a 25 1/2 year career. She was an organ donor so she affected the lives of many more people.

On Jan 17, 2003, she married Gerald "PJ" Pajerski in Imperial.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roger and Teresa (O'Brien) Pflum.

Survivors include her husband, PJ Pajerski of Imperial; daughter, Chantel Bishop of McCook; son, Josh and wife, Tricia Moreno of Waverly; stepsons, Jerry Pajerski of Imperial and Louis and wife, Jill Pajerski of Omaha; step-daughter, Brenda and husband, Dick Wessel of Omaha; her parents, Jim and Rose Pflum of David City; six brothers, Mike and wife, Tammy Pflum of David City, Pat Pflum of Delhart, Texas, Mark and wife, Brenda Pflum of David City, Brian and wife, Carrie Pflum of Phoenix, Ariz., Scott and wife, Heather Pflum of Amherst and Eric and wife, Coren Pflum of David City; nine sisters, Mary and husband, Lonnie Malmkar of Milford, Catie Pflum of Phoenix, Linda and husband, Rod Bohlener of Delhart, Annie and husband, Mike Zavadony of David City, Diane and husband, Pat Carranza of Kearney, Jean Miranda of Lincoln, Chris and husband, Jon Karn of Holdrege, Angie Pflum of North Platte and Denise and husband, Brian Eddy of Valparaiso; sisters-in-law, Angie and husband, Rich of Stillwater, Minn., Jean and husband, Jim Bovitz of Overland Park, Kan., Florence Pajerski of Chicago, Ill., Carol and husband, Bob Tasto of Bloomington, Minn., Julia and husband, Roger Johnson of Blaine, Minn., Rita Gutenkopf of Billings, Mont., Pat and husband, Jim Kirchberg of Oak Park, Minn., Teresa and husband, Tom Gaudoin of Carmel Valley, Calif., Diane and husband, Chuck Becker of Maple Grove, Minn., Darlene and husband, Tom Olby of Duluth, Minn., Louise and husband, Will Healy of Batavia, Ill.; brother-in-law, Phillip Pajerski of Pacific Grove, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Imperial with the Rev. Kay Alnor officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
