OBERLIN -- Mildred L. Cochran, 86, died Tuesday (July 29, 2008) at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
She was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Traer, Kan., to John and Mary (Dageford) Jording. She grew up in Traer and attend school in Traer and Oberlin.
On Nov. 3, 1950, she married Veere Cochran in Oberlin. She worked as a homemaker and lived in Oberlin and Selden.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Jording; husband, Veere Cochran; stepson, Larry Cochran; and 10 siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Larry and wife, Cecilia Kruse of Lawton, Okla., Terry and Nancy Kruse of Russellville, Mo., and Myron Cochran of Seattle, Wash., and sister, Esther Hoffbauer of Toppenish, Wash.
Services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin, with the Rev. Rick Rostek officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Friday from 9 a.m., until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be given to the Joan Fredrickson Scholarship fund or to the church.
